April 30 - May 1, 2010 / Juneteenth Trail Ride: The first weekend in May. Friday night has a Campfire Supper with trail ride music and camp out. Saturday morning, wake up to a Chuck Wagon Breakfast and a 10 mile round trip ride. Return to camp and get ready to go to the VFW for a Show Down Dance from 7 – 12. May 1, 2010 / Dia de los Ninos: This event is held the third Saturday in April at the Elgin Public Library from 10:00a.m.- 2:00p.m. Bring the family and enjoy the day at the library with live entertainment, Ballet Folklorico, and music. May 1, 2010 / Community Wide Garage Sale: The first Saturday in May a community wide garage sale is held for anyone wishing to participate.
